Visiting? Here’s What To Expect

Where are you? We are located at 69 Wolfe Avenue in Beacon Falls, Connecticut. We’re just moments from downtown Beacon Falls, CT. Parking is available in the lot in front of our church building and also along Wolfe Avenue. We suggest arriving 10 minutes before service to secure the best and closest parking. Map and Directions.

When are worship services? We have two schedules.  In the summertime (June through August) Sunday Worship Service starts at 9AM.  For the rest of the year (September through May) we worship at 10:00 am.  Our services typically last about an hour and 10 minutes, sometimes a little longer.

What do you have for my kids? During the school year (September – June) we have a staffed nursery and children’s church-school classes for kids on their grade level (or kids can stay with you in the worship service if you prefer). See more about it under our Christian Education page. During the summer months, we offer optional childrens’ activities (bible lessons, crafts, playground time, etc) for a portion of the worship service time.

What do I wear? We want you to be comfortable at Beacon Falls Congregational Church. If you wear dressy, business, or casual attire, there will surely be others dressed much like you. Yes, worship services are a time when some prefer to don their “Sunday best”, but many others do not, so please just wear what you are comfortable in and you’ll be right at home with us.

What should I expect? Greeters will welcome you to the service and point you to our sanctuary. Ushers will help you find a seat and give you a bulletin outlining the order of service. Our worship consists of prayer, music, a biblical sermon, and an offering. Though visitors are generally acknowledged and welcomed, you will not be singled out as a visitor. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month as well as during special services throughout the year. You need not be a member to share Holy Communion with us.

Then what? After worship service you are invited to come downstairs to enjoy coffee, treats and a time to get to know each other. We call this our “fellowship hour” though it rarely lasts that long.    Come, get to know us, we welcome your visit!
